ADRIAN An ordinance that would let the Adrian City Commission determine where in the city food trucks can operate was adopted Tuesday
Commission members voted 7-0 to adopt the ordinance at Tuesday’s special meeting. Along with allowing the commission to determine where food trucks also referred to as mobile food vendors can operate, it lets the commission set a fee schedule for permits.
The commission s next regular meeting is Monday, June 7, and further discussion of the ordinance will continue then.
Commissioners and Adrian Mayor Angie Sword Heath stated food truck owners in and around the area have expressed a general interest in being a part of several large-scale public events set to return downtown this summer such as the Artalicious Fine Arts Festival and the Blues ’N’ Brews music and food festival.
