Tonight Martinez Police are now saying that it appears this suspect knew his victim. We have some video to show you from earlier this afternoon. Martinez police say they received a call at 1 30 p. M. , rather walnut creek police, for a woman who was shot multiple times on the 1900 block of first avenue. Thats in the area near larkey park and the lindsey wildlife museum. Suspect fled southbound on buena vista avenue. Police found the suspects vehicle on linville lane. We saw that vehicle, a rental car, being sewed. A regional east bay swat team with assistance from a bomb squad used a robot during their search. Of course, neighbors were curious. At one point we is saw a neighbor watching with binoculars. Around 7 00 tonight Law Enforcement quickly moved to martinez where they surrounded the suspect in a different vehicle near a chevron gas station at howell and old orchard.
