Until recently, people with Down’s Syndrome were on the list in group four under official guidelines while those with severe and profound disabilities were in group six. However, many with a mild or moderate learning disability were not told they would be given the vaccine any earlier at all – despite concerns they could be at greater risk from the virus. In February, Oxfordshire’s CCG tweaked the list so that anybody with a learning disability, despite the severity, would be included in group 6.
