Israel is reopening its gates to vaccinated tourists starting at the end of May and launching a strategic campaign to ensure as many tourists as possible arrive in 2021, Minister of Tourism Orit Farkash-Hacohen announced Tuesday at a news conference in Tel Aviv.
âIsrael today is a world leader in safety and health, and we will make sure every potential tourist knows this when planning their summer or winter vacation,â Farkash-Hacohen said. âWe cannot miss this opportunity â and, as minister of tourism I won’t.â

A new fund recently started by Israelâs Ministry of Strategic Affairs and public benefit company âConcert Together for Israelâ encourages existing organization to submit proposals for new public diplomacy initiatives that emphasize normalization with Arab countries, combat hate speech against Israel and build the reputation of the Jewish state online.
The âRestartâ fund, launched in the wake of the coronavirus, will match the funds of private donors and participating organizations, up to NIS 40 million (nearly $13 million) total, so that the organizations can continue their work in full force.
