Three face Jersey drug, weapon charges

JERSEYVILLE Three people have been charged with drug and weapons offenses after an incident in Jersey County Dec. 17.
Megan E. Lewis, also known as Megan E. Cummings, 29, of Medora; Michael E. Heath, 38, of Otterville; and Justin D. Mundy, 32, of Alton were each charged Dec. 18 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony; unlawful possession of weapon by felon, a Super Class 3 felony; and unlawful possession of controlled substance, a Class 4 felony.
According to court documents, on Dec. 17 they were found to be in possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, less than 15 grams of heroin, and brass knuckles. Brass knuckles, or “metal knuckles” are illegal in Illinois, in addition, all three have been convicted of felonies in Illinois.
