Academy striker Ben Folami’s strike for the U18s in March’s 3-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday has been nominated in the League Football Education’s Goal of the Month competition.
Town general manager of football operations and academy manager Lee O’Neill has reiterated that the club’s youth set-up will remain at category two despite the club’s relegation to League One and the loss of a number of talented young players to big Premier League clubs.

Four goals in the final 19 minutes - including two in stoppage time - saw Town to an emphatic 4-0 victory in their final away game of the season at Reading. Martyn Waghorn put the Blues ahead on 71 and Jordan Spence made it 2-0 eight minutes later, before sub Freddie Sears, ending his 38-game goal drought, and Callum Connolly added the third and fourth in injury time.
