Welcome to bay area focus. I am susan sikora. Students rising above began as a project to help bay area teens with overwhelming odds like homelessness and poverty get to college. The stories are told by a tv anchor who found the students rising above in 1998. Today this awardwinning project is a Nonprofit Group that still make as difference for kids that want to succeed despite huge challenges. Get this, other 4. 1 million has been raised to help 144 kids get to college. And the work still continues. We have wendy here. Welcome.
