Titanic is the way we will always remember Leonardo DiCaprio, but Catch Me If You Can is more likely the way he wishes we would. This came five years after Titanic, and in that interim Leo made some of his worst movies (see: the back end of this list). Then comes Catch Me If You Can, where Leo leans into the charm and fascination with the sly wink of a con man. It’s like he knows that we know that he knows who and what he is but here, Leo’s sleight of hand is right there on the surface. This is all an act, a long con.
