Longtime residents of Bemidji, Mike and Peg Granlund had established a scholarship fund in memory of their daughter, Liz, who passed away in 2006 from a rare blood disease.
Lead for Inclusion, a new youth-led nonprofit in Bemidji, hopes to create a change in the community so that every place is accessible and welcoming to people with and without disabilities.
The orchestra will be joined by a Grammy-nominated soloist and three area choirs to perform Ralph Vaughan Williams' “Five Mystical Songs” in the concert, set for 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28.
