Wiltshire Police are continuing to hand out fines to people gathering illegally during the coronavirus pandemic. Officers from the force were called out to five separate house parties over the weekend, in Swindon and Chippenham. This resulted in a number of £200 fines being dished out for breaking Covid rules. The latest figures show that between February 22 and February 28 Wiltshire Police: • Issued 59 fixed penalty notices. This brings the overall total to 696. • Issued 93 formal warnings to people for failing to adhere to the Government rules. • Recorded 357 reports from members of the public, either via the phone or using our online reporting tool.
