London Grammar have dug into their experience of toxic fame for their new album.
Hannah Reid, the band’s frontwoman, moved from Nottingham to Los Angeles for the first time in 2013 to escape the constant media scrutiny and misogyny in the UK.
“In my 20s, I felt like I lost quite a bit of my identity and my competence somewhere along the way,” says the now 31-year-old. “Definitely in the music industry, I’ve had the experience of feeling really, really corroded. There were a lot of moments where I did feel like I was battling to not be invisible, or to not have an invisible opinion.
