Another dispersal order has been authorised in Burnley this evening after reports of abusive youths. Following reports of anti-social behaviour in the Bank Hall area of Burnley, the police have implemented a dispersal order this evening, after another was in place last night around Thurston Street. A spokesperson for the police said: We were called to Thurston Street shortly after 6pm yesterday (April 5) to reports of antisocial behaviour where approximately 30 youths were reported to be congregating and being abusive to residents. We attended and received further reports of an assault and an allegation of racial abuse. Police said that the order, authorised under S.34 Anti-social behaviour, Crime and Police Act 2014, is to supplement the ongoing Covid restrictions and allows police to disperse anyone that is acting, or is likely to act, in an anti-social manner in the area.
