Ruangguru Raises USD55M in Funding

Ruangguru, a Jakarta, Indonesia-based edtech company, raised USD 55m in funding.   The round was led by Tiger Global Management with participation from GGV Capital. The funding follows the previous USD150m Series C funding led by General Atlantic and GGV Capital in December 2019. Earlier investors in the company include East Ventures, Venturra Capital, and UOB Venture Management among others.  The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach. Led by Belva Devara, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Ruangguru is a startup company focusing on enabling students to understand school curriculums, as well as helping with exams, particularly standardized tests.
