the speaker s leadership style. it s definitely inside beltway stuff. i think a lot of it has been rehashed out in the public before. we ve heard different elements of this. there s nuances about what happened. i think it respected boehner s leadership style which is empowering members. it s easy to get individual quotes to take pot shots. i think republicans by and large feel like they ve had pretty good momentum. except they don t have legislation. they don t have big things that they ve passed. they may not have an immigration bill. they may be stuck with the senate immigration. one of the interesting things in the story is the note they re considering a resolution as a conference to prohibit him from passing anything that doesn t have majority support, which could torpedo something like immigration reform. i think on the whole, this paints a picture of a caucus that s really struggling to be an effective opposition party and to sort of have and push their own agenda that would
