 The Belmond Police Dept. has fielded many complaints about the Highway 69 detour. Truck and other vehicle traffic has increased on Luick s Lane, West Main Street and 4th Avenue NE.
  In the past two weeks, the police have issued 10 speed warnings and 17 speeding tickets.
