A MOTHER has spoken of the moment her son was “sent flying” after being struck by a cyclist riding on the pavement… despite being a metre away from a Covid cycle lane. Finley Stiles, four, was left with cuts and bruises on his face after he was struck on the Old Shoreham Road pavement this afternoon, his mother said. Sarah Bridge, 29, who lives on the nearby Knoll Estate, said the cyclist rode off towards Sainsbury s after hitting her son at about 12.20pm. This is your chance to have your say on the city s cycle lanes LEAFLETS have been sent to residents of Old Shoreham Road with the new proposed changes to cycle lanes and additions. A relative in that road passed one on to me. I would strongly advise all residents of Knoll Estate to obtain a copy as they have not been sent one. The effects on the estate are horrendous. There would be no right turn out of Stapley Road into the Old Shoreham Road, Also no right turn into Stapley Road from Old Shoreham Road.
