Police have released video footage of a house party taking place. In the footage officers can be seen entering the premises and some people attempting to leave the property in Ormskirk are told to remain. Police said they found around 30 revellers in ‘a blatant breach of the Covid-19 regulations’. The house party was taking place on Wigan Road at around 2.45am on Sunday (January 31) and believed to involve students from Edge Hill University. The university condemned the actions and said the actions of any students was ‘completely unacceptable’. In the footage one person says he was ‘bored’ and wanted to have some fun whilst a woman says it was only meant to be small gathering for a birthday ‘but word got out’. She then goes on to say, ‘How do you expect a 20-year-old girl to pay £10,000?’.
