Now, the ongoing construction of a religious structure has become a bone of contention between the BBMP marshals and a few residents of Dr Ambedkar Nagar. While construction has continued unabated, it is alleged that a few women also use abusive language against the marshals whenever they attempt to stop the work.
The BBMP marshals team led by Marshal Guruprasad under the guidance of Captain Sadashiv Badiger rescued Lalrinmuana and took him to the BDA Site Office. They gave him a bath with hot water. “We gave him a bath as his clothes were dirty. We found a layer of dirt on his skin. He was not in a position to speak properly,’’ said Marshal Guruprasad.
According to the study conducted by researchers from Bishop Heber College in Tiruchirappalli, heavy metals such as chromium, lead, and cadmium were found in the feathers of all house crows and house sparrows that were sampled.
