Before the onset of COVID-19, every Bellaire United Methodist Church celebration had to at least include a shared meal. From celebrating retirements to confirmations, the church never hesitated to bring residents to the same table.
But the church is waiting to see what the world looks like this fall before finalizing plans to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Long-standing on the corner of Newcastle and Bellaire, the church has remained entwined with the city’s history while viewing itself as an inclusive space for all Bellaire residents, regardless of their religion.
