Even though the world of performance art remains at limited capacity in early 2021, one Columbia teen, Bella Coyne, 16, is being given the opportunity to break into the New York Broadway theater scene in homes all around the world. Killer Party: A Murder Mystery Musical, presented by Broadway Actors Alliance of NYC, is set to premiere at 8 p.m. Saturday with two follow-up performances at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday. The performances will be presented virtually.
The show won t be your typical virtual Zoom meeting with actors on a screen reading lines. Each actor was given a strict set of guidelines for filming and producing scenes for their individual parts, creating a seamless visual performance to be presented like a movie.
