Hargreaves easily topped other direct platforms like Interactive Investor and AJ Bell YouInvest when it came to popularity for Woodford investors.
A Hargreaves spokesman declined to comment.
During the event, a number of Woodford investors shared their stories.
Susan started investing in Woodford funds when the former star manager was still Invesco Perpetual. “From the late 90s, if you were reading the personal finance section of weekend papers, Woodford’s name came up all the time,” she said.
“I was so attracted by Invesco Perpetual and his High Income fund – and it was great fund…I guess it was the build-up of trust over that length of time.”
