Wichita police investigating four deaths involving possible overdoses
Wichita police are investigating the deaths of four people that may involve drug overdoses. The deaths have been reported since July 5th.
Police said a 38-year-old woman died at the Trail Motel in the 800 block of South Broadway, a 48-year-old woman died at the Bell Boy Motel in the 2000 block of South Broadway, a 56-year-old man was found dead in the 100 block of East Harry, and a 67-year-old man was found dead at the Bell Air Motel in the 1800 block of South Broadway.
The cases are being investigated as suspicious deaths where a drug overdose is a possible cause or contributing factor to the death. In each case, evidence of crack cocaine use was found at the scene. The Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center and the Coroner’s Office will determine the actual cause of death.
