Crashes near Jasper killed two on Sunday
The two separate crashes happened Sunday in Walker County, Alabama.

JASPER, Ala. (WTVA) - Two people died Sunday in two separate crashes near Jasper.
The first crash happened shortly after midnight on Alabama Highway 269, about 13 miles south of Jasper.
While trying to elude Jasper police, the driver of a pickup truck crossed the center line and collided head-on with a car, according to troopers.
The truck caught fire. Troopers are working to identify the driver.
Medics transported the driver of the car to a local hospital for serious injuries.
