The railway ministry has granted approval for a preliminary engineering-cum-traffic (PET) survey for the new broad gauge railway line connecting Belagavi and Kolhapur cities. The survey is expected to be concluded within six months. This development is crucial for the proposed Belagavi-Dharwad rail line.
