A 35-year-old-man has been arrested and a suspected firearm seized during a search of a property in north Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police received a report at around 1.30am on Saturday that the window of a vehicle parked in the Cregagh Road area had been smashed.
Enquiries resulted in a follow up search of a property in the Kinnaird Street area of north Belfast, during which a number of items were seized, including a suspected firearm, by detectives from Musgrave Street CID, supported by officers from the Belfast Local Policing Team.
The man (35) was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, criminal damage, possession of a class B drug and carrying firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
