Belfast Celtic and St Mirren met in a friendly match on International Women’s Day in 2019, now the two clubs are entering a partnership together.
The aim is to develop a player pathway between the two clubs and also engage in many programmes to developing senior and youth players.
Kate Cooper (St Mirren Women Head Coach) said: “At St. Mirren FC Women’s and Girls’ Academy it’s important we develop positive relationships with other clubs determined to provide their players with opportunities to develop both as a person and a player. I have no doubt as our partnership with Belfast Celtic develops we will see players and coaches given the opportunity to gain valuable experiences that will ensure they can fulfil their potential and become drivers for the future development of the sport.
