San Antonio police say a woman was shot to death in front of her young children during a domestic violence attack this morning. It happened about 7 a.m. at the Beldon Apartments off Harlow Drive.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the 28-year-old woman was loading her children up for school, when she was shot while behind the wheel of her vehicle in what he called an ambush. The children, ages 10, 6 and 2 saw it happen. McManus says a man believed to be the woman s estranged husband is now in custody.

A mother was shot dead Monday morning while preparing to drive her three children to school on the Northeast Side, San Antonio police said.
Police detained the woman’s estranged husband for questioning.
Chief William McManus said that around 7:15 a.m., police were alerted to a shooting at the Beldon Apartments at 7511 Harlow Drive. The complex of two-story dun-brick buildings sits just east of Austin Highway near Lanark Drive.
