Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Denis Meleshkin met with Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Alvin Botes of South Africa.
Chinese businessmen expressed interest in exporting tea to Belarus, importing Belarusian meat and dairy products, agricultural products, fertilizers, and also in developing cooperation with Belarusian companies in the use of alternative energy sources, woodworking, and other areas.
According to Krzysztof Tołwiński, the two countries have differences in agriculture. “In Poland farms have 100-200 hectares of land while in Belarus farms possess thousands of hectares. Poland's policy in agriculture is based on the fact that the owner of an agricultural enterprise is a family, and there are no other employees. Collective farming is more developed in Belarus,” he said.
The Uzbekistan-Belarus business forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Gulfood food & beverage exhibition will be running in Dubai from 19 to 23 February 2024. The Belarusian exposition titled as Belarus.The Taste of Nature will traditionally feature domestic producers.
