The decision comes into force on June 1st.
The Homel regional council of deputies made a decision to introduce a local tax when leaving the country. Drivers will pay one base amount for each trip abroad. The corresponding decision was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The fee will be valid until January 1, 2023.
The decision was made on March 29. It is indicated that it comes into force on the 1st day of the month following the month of its official publication - that is, from June 1, and agreed with the State Border Committee and the State Customs Committee.
Let us remind you that earlier such a decision was made in the Hrodna region. It was supposed to come into force on May 1 but was approved only by the State Border and Customs Committees. Now the decision is being approved by the Ministry of Justice. Only after that will the exact date of the entry into force of the decision be known.
