The parties discussed the status of trade between the two countries, the work of the customs services within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and other issues of bilateral cooperation.
“The 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations is our common milestone. In addition to all types of cooperation between our countries, from the point of view of Kyrgyzstan, inter-parliamentary cooperation is one of the most important areas,” Ermek Ibraimov said.
Belarus and Kyrgyzstan have a long history of friendly relations, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Igor Nazaruk said at the reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Belarus-Kyrgyzstan diplomatic relations.
The parties are set to discuss the state and prospects of the Belarus-Kyrgyzstan inter-parliamentary contacts, including the official visit to Belarus of the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan scheduled for 2023, as well as other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and the humanitarian field.
“Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are gearing up to celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. In this regard, it is high time we took a look at some results. On the whole, we assess our relations with Belarus as friendly. Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are members of all the integration organizations in the post-Soviet space. There are few such states actually,” said Ermek Ibraimov.
