MOSCOW, 9 June (BelTA) – Belarus is maintaining fruitful cooperation with the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor); all disagreements are a thing of the past, Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksei Bogdanov told BelTA on the sidelines of the Belarus-Asia Forum held at the Belarusian Embassy in Moscow on 9 June, BelTA has learned.
“By and large, we do not have any problems with Rosselkhoznadzor; there are certain things we are dealing with in a routine manner, and we keep in touch every day,” Aleksei Bogdanov said answering a question whether disagreements with the Russian watchdog are over.
“The Asian market is crucial for the companies affiliated with the Industry Ministry. This market holds a lot of promise, since Asian countries are experiencing solid economic growth. And we see that the products of our enterprises can be in great demand in this market,” the deputy minister said.
“The pandemic has divided our timeline into pre and post COVID eras. Not a single economy has been able to avoid losses, almost all countries of the world saw a decline in GDP last year,” Vladimir Semashko said.
Similar aspirations, including on the international agenda, are the basis for the development of cooperation between Belarus and the countries of the Asian region, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko said as he spoke at the Belarus-Asia Forum in Moscow.
