Delhi Rains: Water level of river Yamuna in Delhi continued to drop on Tuesday morning. At 7 am the water level was recorded at 205.71 meters. However, wet weather is likely in north India over the next two-three days, which could lead to another rise in the level of the Yamuna in Delhi later this week. Delhi minister Atishi has advised people living in relief camps set up by the government in the national capital to to avoid going back to their houses in the floodplains for some more time. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for Himachal Pradesh. Similarly, an orange alert has been issued for Uttarakhand for Tuesday while Delhi has been issued a yellow alert with a prediction of moderate rains in the city.
The Bela Estate Mazdoor Basti Samiti claimed that these slum clusters have been in existence for more than 70 years and consists of more than 700 households.
