But delving into this glittering world through a screen is nothing new, filmmakers have been exploring it for years so hop into your most avant-garde trackies, don some superfluous sunglasses and luxuriate in our favourite fashion films.
Funny Face, 1957
Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn forged one of fashion’s most enduring partnerships when the young designer agreed to let the rising star borrow some of his ready-to-wear designs for romantic comedy Sabrina. She was so enamoured, her contracts thereafter stipulated that she would only wear Givenchy on screen. The first film to feature his original costumes was Funny Face, a light-hearted tale of a librarian who becomes the toast of the fashion worl
