Network Norfolk : Sheringham BeachLife returns with live outreach

Sheringham BeachLife returns with live outreach Sheringham BeachLife is back, in a modified form, and will launch in the town and on the beach during the last full week of this year’s summer holidays. Tony Rothe reports. The popular children’s outreach week was restricted to an on-line offering in 2020, but is back this year with digital broadcasts in the mornings, activity packs, and family activities in the afternoons or early evenings, including a visit from a renowned magician on the last day.   Sheringham BeachLife started in 2012, with Sheringham churches working together to provide four days of children’s activities and outreach at the end of the summer holidays, as well as some one-day events throughout the year. The numbers attending have been increasing each year, reaching a peak in 2019 with over 320 children and young people coming along for at least part of the main summer outreach. Why house prices in Beeston, Oakwood and Belle Isle have soared in the last year

Submitting. The ten areas where house prices soared by more than 15 per cent. The suburb which saw the highest price rise was Lady Wood & Oakwood, which saw average prices go from £246,655 to £323,527 from September 2019 to September 2020. This is an increase of 31.7 per cent in just one year. Branch Manager for Dacre, Son & Hartley North Leeds office, Emma Winterhalder, said: Roundhay prices are pushing people to look at different suburbs nearby that also allow them to still be close to the city but with green space a short walk away. Oakwood is perfect for people who couldn t necessarily afford to live in Roundhay but want to be in that area, so it has become a bit of an extended suburb to Roundhay.

The boys in the youth group decided they would use the game to describe aspects of the Easter story, and portray what it meant to them.   Connor Winston, an intern at Lighthouse, who is currently helping to run the group from his home in Essex, explains: “The boys are all really into playing Minecraft, and it was something they all spoke about a lot during our sessions.

Couple save storm-damaged wedding tree Published image copyrightOther image captionThe couple s ceremony was held under the branches of the willow tree in Roundhay Park A couple who wed under their favourite tree have salvaged some of its timber after it was unexpectedly chopped down. John Whitehouse and Iona Elborough-Whitehouse married under the branches of the lakeside willow in Roundhay Park, Leeds in 2018. They feared they would never see it again after it was felled due to storm damage. After launching an appeal, they tracked down its remains and plan to make a window seat as a long-lasting memento. The couple chose the tree as a place to say their vows because the park was the place where they had their second date.
