On display at Beef Australia, Agriwebb is a farm management software that records all of the property data.
Co-founder and chief revenue officer John Fargher is a fifth generation livestock producer and found himself looking for better efficiencies on the ground.
“Growing up on the land I was looking at what my father and grandfather had done in those previous generations,” he said.
In the previous decades there had been really transformational changes as producers went from a staff of 40 on horses to using motorbikes and airplanes.

Subscriber only Innovative beef product labelling that shares with the consumer where the cattle has come from and the conditions under which it was raised is on display at Beef Australia 2021. The project, KPMG Origins - Trusted Beef Traceability, is a collaboration between Argyle Foods Group, Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and KPMG, is a blockchain based traceability platform which incorporates a code on the beef product. The product is exported to markets across South East Asia, with a focus on China and aims to deliver $115m in additional sales by 2025. The code, which can be scanned on a mobile phone, leads consumers to a platform which includes information from across the beef supply chain.

Thousands of people are pouring through the gates of Beef Australia 2021, which is on track to break attendance records.
The nation’s premier beef industry event is held every three years in Rockhampton.
It features seminars and symposiums, property tours, trade fair exhibits, entertainment and amazing food experiences.
Here are some of the highlights on Wednesday’s program:
9am-10am: Technology in the Beef Processing Industry with Darren Hamblin, Dr Peter McGilchrist and Dr Alex Ball Ken Coombe, Tech Yards RaboTruck Stage, Rockhampton Showgrounds.
1.30pm-3pm: Beef Australia International Seminar - Investing in Agriculture in a COVID World, Paterson Room, Rockhampton State High School.
