Glendale: It was refreshing to read Joe Crowley’s comments in “Music artists must be paid for radio play time” (op-ed, Feb. 19), if only because it had nothing to do with politics. Or did it, in a roundabout way associated with (excuse the pun) fair play?
Manhattan: So the maker of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky is being sued in a class-action lawsuit for misleading consumers with a second version that looks nearly identical to the popular original flavor but has less booze? The real scandal here is that these cases are in civil court instead of criminal court. This is why these scams never stop happening and our quality of life gets worse and worse.
Tuscaloosa, Ala.: Re “We don’t ‘prevent suicide’,” (Dec. 25): It’s great that Twitter restored its suicide-prevention tool, but Twitter and other companies should be doing more to prevent suicide, not simply restoring an inadequate status quo. One easy way to do that would be to expand the range of search terms that return suicide prevention information.
