Councillor s request to reduce speed limit on Morley Drive to 60km/h rejected by Bayswater council

The City of Bayswater has pumped the brakes on a request to reduce the speed limit on a busy eastern suburbs road from 70km/h to 60km/h.

Date Time Vehicle being driven erratically – Morley area Morley Police are seeking information from the community in relation to a white Nissan X-Trail that was seen driving erratically in Morley around 9pm on Friday, 16 July 2021. It was reported to Police the X-Trail was being driven erratically north-bound on Tonkin Highway near the Morley Drive off-ramp, then Beechboro Road. At a red traffic light at the intersection of Morley Drive east and Beechboro Road North, the male driver exited the X-Trail and walked to a vehicle behind him before striking the windscreen several times with his fist. The man then got into the X-Trail and drove off. The vehicle was last seen to turn left onto Beechboro Road and then left into Hannans Street, Beechboro.

Police are responding to serious crash - Morley

Date Time Police are responding to serious crash – Morley Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Squad are investigating a crash that occurred in Morley on Wednesday, 3 February 2021. About 1.40 pm, a black Mitsubishi Lancer sedan was driving east on Morley Drive East and a blue Kia Cerato hatchback that was travelling south on Beechboro Road North were involved in a collision. The 55 year-old female driver of the Kia and the 47 year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi were taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of serious injuries received. Major Crash investigators are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
