(Facebook: DFES/Mick Dybac) Another five homes have been confirmed lost in the bushfire emergency north-east of Perth, bringing the total to 86, after firefighters entered their fifth day battling the out-of-control blaze. Damage assessment teams discovered the gutted homes overnight as they continued carrying out a secondary assessment of properties in the fire zone. Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Commissioner Darren Klemm said the additional properties would have been destroyed early in the fire.
