Downtown Cleveland Alliance has rebranded its parent company as Downtown Cleveland, Inc. to reflect a unified vision for downtown Cleveland as the place and organization, according to a news release.
Attorney Thomas J. Coyne has been named chair of the Downtown Cleveland Improvement Corp., which oversees the central business district's safety and cleanliness initiatives as a partner of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, the marketing, events and advocacy nonprofit.
Janik, a veteran of the Cleveland economic development world, most recently at the Greater Cleveland Partnership, will start in the Bedrock job on Jan. 7. She will report to CEO Kofi Bonner and 'will play a key role in Bedrock's revitalization of Tower City as a destination marketplace and the public-private partnership with the city of Cleveland to reimagine a riverfront neighborhood as part of the city's Vision for The Valley' along the Cuyahoga River, the Detroit-based company said.
