BEDFORD, N.Y. – Cameras that provide a photographic record of police actions should be worn by all officers on patrol, separate Bedford and Lewisboro committees examining policing practices in their towns will recommend.
Bedford’s Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Committee made public a series of proposed changes last week in police relations with the community. The committee scheduled a public meeting on the report for Thursday (Feb. 18). While Lewisboro’s recommendations have not yet been publicly disclosed, it was learned that they will also include a call for police body cameras.
