The Bedadung River overflowed its banks and submerged at least 436 houses, a boarding school, and two places of worship facilities, Heru Widagdo, a spokesman of the Jember Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD), stated here on Saturday morning. One home was swept away by the flooding. The seven flood-affected sub-districts were Jelbuk, Patrang, Sumbersari, Kaliwates, Kalisat, Pakusari, and Rambipuji. Jelbuk and Kalisat were among the villages impacted by the flooding.
