Richarlison s winner proves enough against struggling Saints Lyndon Lloyd Monday, 1 March, 2021
Everton 1 - 0 Southampton Richarlison grabbed the crucial goal for the second match running with a brilliant finish in the ninth minute
Everton pulled onto the shoulders of the top six again with a much-needed first home win since December as they successfully defended Richarlison s early goal to edge Southampton 1-0.
The Brazilian scored his fifth goal in as many games in all competitions in the ninth minute and though the Toffees would come close to adding to their lead, primarily off set-piece opportunities, they were left to cling on to three valuable points as Saints pushed for an equaliser late on.
Not that pretty but ultimately effective 1 Posted 02/03/2021 at 06:52:41 Everton didn`t play particularly well but deserved to win. Southampton didn`t create any chance except in the last few minutes. Richarlison is my man of the match, he scored the decisive goal and worked tirelesly up front although nobody played an excellent game, the whole team was average.
Three points and, especially, a home win are hugely welcomed but we must improve if we want to win often in the future. We must not forget that Southampton are currently one of the worst, if not the worst, team in the league. The whole defence played well except, as I already mentioned, in the last few minutes when Southampton made few chances.

The top overall shooter among boys was Easton Wall of Locust Grove. Annie Brannon of Chandler was the top girls' shooter. Boys and girls compete together for the team championships.

By now, you've undoubtedly seen the photos of the alligators sticking their snouts out of the frozen Red Slough Wildlife Management Area in McCurtain County in the far corner of southeastern Oklahoma.
The alligators in ice photos posted on Facebook by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation employee David Arbour went viral. Many people learned for the first time that Oklahoma even has alligators, even though the first alligator nest was discovered at the Red Slough back in 2005.
As the Red Slough wetlands froze last week, the alligators lifted their snouts out of an air hole in a technique biologists called icing or snorkeling to help the animals breath.
