After concerns of people driving through the Northside Fourth of July Parade last year, Cincinnati leaders have suggested that changes need to be made.
In March, the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Police Department's Special Events Unit contacted the parade's organizers to discuss issues with the celebration.
Neighbors in Northside near where a jogger was hit said the current infrastructure in the area isn't working and they want the city to come up with long term, permanent solutions.
A woman out jogging in Northside Tuesday morning is now in critical condition after a driver hit her while she was in a marked crosswalk, according to Cincinnati Police.
