South Carolina Senators voted unanimously to approve spending some $2 billion in federal funds on roads, rural broadband, and sewage and water plant improvements.
At Wednesday's house committee meeting lawmakers heard public testimony on five bills that would restrict what teachers can say and teach in their classes
The bill sponsored by Speaker Jay Lucas and backed by nearly 50 Republican members would eliminate excuses for absentee voting like work obligations and vacation
The Senate Finance Committee said on Tuesday Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell Counties would receive $341 million. the rest of the $525 million will go to other counties
