REPORT: University of Worcester report into support for disabled travellers. Picture: PA DISABLED people from the traveller community need better services, a University of Worcester study has warned. The new report concludes that disabled people from the community are put off from accessing health and social care services because of past experience of discrimination in mainstream society, putting pressure on family members and other community members to plug the gap of support. The study, which involved interviews and focus group research of more than 150 people from traveller communities, calls on statutory and voluntary sector organisations to now do more to ensure their needs are met.
