Starting Monday, May 3, Highway 87 will close between County Road 29-Birch Avenue in Frazee to Highway 71 in Menahga until October.
Crews will begin a reconstruction project from North River Drive in Frazee to the Becker-Wadena County line. Traffic will be detoured to County Road 29-Birch Avenue, Highway 34 and Highway 71.
For this project, crews will reconstruct and resurface 26 miles of pavement, widen shoulders between Frazee and Evergreen, and replace two box culverts east of Frazee.
