i think the glenn beck story is high lighting is the fact he s got a relationship with the chamber. it goes back. he s appeared at events with tom donahue and while he pretends to be this populous hero, in fact, he s standing up with the chamber in outsourcing jobs and reducing tax cuts for the rich, they would benefit glenn beck personally. the assumption one would have there s some sort of stupidity factor, some sort of conflation between the local chambers that are very often the way mr. beck err e roanously described the national one, the u.s. group, that he probably wasn t mistaking the one for the other, just sort of letting that confusion continue to sit there like it s the hastings on hudson, new york, chamber of commerce? right. people don t realize the chambers in their towns areรง different than the u.s. chambers. some give dues. some are closely aligned. some are not. there were local chambers of commerce in new york, in
