Stephen Cole pleaded guilty to battering Marta Vento to death at the Travelodge Hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset. The 27-year-old blood-spattered body was found in the hotel s foyer area by shocked guests at about 7.30am on December 9 last year. A trail of blood was said to lead up the hotel s stairs. Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene but Miss Vento, originally from Valencia, Spain, was pronounced dead at the scene.

13:32 EDT, 11 December 2020 13 shares A man held over the murder of Travelodge receptionist who was found dead in the hotel foyer has been detained under the mental health act, police said today. The 32-year-old suspect was arrested after the young woman was battered to death while she worked the nightshift at a seaside Travelodge on Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, Dorset.  The victim, a young woman who has still not yet been named but was aged in her 20s, was found dead in the foyer area of the hotel at about 7.30am on Wednesday. Colleagues found her covered in blood and there was little they could do to save her, while other people at the hotel described the horrific scene with blood trailing up all the stairs .
