KUALA LUMPUR: Chaos ensued in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (July 18) after an Opposition MP was issued a two-day suspension for pressing the House to address the issue of the Sulu claim on Petronas’s assets and Sabah.
KUALA LUMPUR: The two-day suspension of Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis from the Dewan Rakyat has been upheld, although Deputy Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon was earlier heard saying that he would retract the ejection order.
There were loud protests, an angry standoff and an MP was ejected as Parliament erupted into an uproar over the motion to address the issue of the Sulu claim on PETRONAS’ assets.
