On Friday morning, Peterborough Public Health reported blue-green algae blooms have reappeared at Rogers Cove. The beach is once again closed 'until further notice.'
Rogers Cove and Beavermead Park beaches have been closed since July 14. On July 24, officials reported a Rogers Cove sample had a toxin amount that exceeded recreational limits.
Peterborough Public Health closed beaches at Beavermead Park and Rogers Cove after the algae blooms were discovered Friday during routine water testing by staff.
